Who we are

Curiosity Connections is a collaboration between UWE Bristol and Graphic Science.

  • UWE Bristol is currently funding the network and providing links to contemporary research in education and science communication best practice. The network lead is UWE senior lecturer Dr Laura Fogg-Rogers and Project Coordinator is – Dr Louisa Cockbill.
  • Graphic Science hosts the STEM Ambassador Hub West England and links the network in to the UK’s STEM Ambassador programme through STEM manager Liz Lister.

Join the network

There is no membership or subscription fees to be paid in order to be part of the Curiosity Connections network. Anyone is able to subscribe to our newsletter or can attend network events (where a small fee may be payable in order to cover costs).

Curiosity Bristol is also linked to the team at Curiosity Sussex – who are connecting the local Sussex community to STEM events.


Development of Curiosity Connections was initiated by a grant from the Higher Education Funding Council for England in 2017. In 2018/19 the network was funded as part of a Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious grant awarded to UWE.

Currently, Curiosity Connections is funded by UWE’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
