We the Curious – the science and discovery centre housed on Bristol’s harbourside is a great place to let children loose to poke and prod the exhibits, take part in experiments and let their imaginations go wild.
It’s all designed to stimulate scientific curiosity, and if you’re a teacher, you can use a visit to help kick start a topic or build your classes’ understanding. And it’s not just about the educationally enriching exhibition spaces or planetarium shows (although they’re great, definitely go to those!), the centre also boasts a boat-load of workshops, themed days and science shows designed around core curriculum topics.
You can search by age group, topic and activity on the We the Curious school webpages. The workshops really are fantastic, so check them out!
