Who we are

Curiosity Connections brings together people and organisations who deliver inspirational primary Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. This network is focused on supporting those from within the West of England region (Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset, and North Somerset)

Curiosity Connections was developed as a collaboration between UWE Bristol and Graphic Science, and was initiated by a grant from the Higher Education Funding Council for England in 2017.

  • UWE provides the network with links to contemporary research in education and science communication best practice, through network lead Dr Laura Fogg-Rogers.
  • Graphic Science hosts the STEM Ambassador Hub West England and links the network in to the UK’s STEM Ambassador programme through STEM manager Liz Lister.

Currently, Curiosity Connections is funded as part of a Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious grant awarded to UWE in 2018.

There is no membership or subscription fees to be paid in order to be part of the Curiosity Connections network. Anyone is able to subscribe to our newsletter or to the blog for free, or can attend network events (where a small fee may be payable in order to cover costs).
