Curiosity Connections Bristol aims to support people who inspire primary Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning in the Bristol region. The network aims to bring together primary school teachers, science communicators, education providers, and people working in STEM industries. We will highlight stories, activities, and events which give ideas to primary science teachers, as well as connecting science communicators to schools.

The network is a collaboration between UWE Bristol and Graphic Science, and was initiated by a grant from the Higher Education Funding Council for England. We are connected to research on education outreach by Dr Laura Fogg-Rogers at UWE and the national STEM Ambassador programme by the STEM Ambassador Hub West England.

Find out about all the Curiosity Connections Bristol supporters here.

The network is free to join, and will offer a termly newsletter for STEM ideas and activities, as well as a regular networking event to connect STEM professionals. We welcome anyone who is interested to learn more, but we are focusing our network on the counties of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset. The network will host an annual conference for the Bristol region to discuss inspirational primary STEM learning – in 2019 this will be held on February 2nd at UWE Bristol, Frenchay Campus.
