Have your pupils been out and about exploring the bugs in their local environments?
If so then there is still time (just about) to enter the Great Bug Hunt competition.
All your have to do is get the children to draw the mini-beasts (bugs) that live in a local habitat, record their findings – and submit!
Habitats can include your school playing field, the hedges, flower beds, trees and long grass, under logs or stones or underground – all offer an outdoor classroom learning experience.
And if you win, you’ll get a fabulous Bug Day in your school!
The competition is open for all year groups.
But entries close Friday 14th June 2019.
Entries should be emailed to Rebecca Dixon-Watmough: firstname.lastname@example.org
Entries can be sent as photographs or scans of childrens work, as Word or PowerPoint documents, or as PDF copies of documents.
You can also find an A4 poster that shows the Great Bug Hunts curriculum links – here.
