Drop in to the Leonardo exhibition in the schools room on the first floor of Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, on 4 May 2019, 10am—4pm, to get the opportunity to handle some artificial joints, see robotics in action and find out more about the future of bio-mechanics.
Leonardo’s genius went beyond art and he was a proficient inventor of both practical and theoretical inventions. In fact, a direct line of influence can be drawn from work he pioneered to new developments in bio-mechanics today.
The world-leading Bristol Robotics Laboratory, a joint partnership between the University of the West of England and University of Bristol, are celebrating Leonardo’s accomplishments at this exhibit, by displaying some of the bio-inspired smart joints and robotic limbs made by Chisel Works Robotics and Rose Industries.
