Curiosity Connections’ Manager Makes the News

On Thursday 7th March 2019, Bristol 24/7 published an article on “Nine of Bristol’s brilliant women in STEM“, and Curiosity Connections very own, Dr Laura Fogg Rogers (Senior Research Fellow at UWE Bristol), made the list!

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects are very male dominated fields and the article by Ellie Pipe celebrates the work and achievements of the women in Bristol breaking that glass ceiling.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities and science communication research, Laura is very involved in encouraging women into STEM subjects. For instance, Laura set up and manages the Women Like Me programme, which arranges mentoring partnerships between women engineers and then sends the engineers into schools to be role-models for the next generation.

Congrats Laura, and keep up the good work encouraging women into STEM!
