An Award Winning Scheme to Teach your Class Science through Engineering

Children as Engineers is a project run by Laura Fogg-Rogers with Juliet Edmonds and Fay Lewis at UWE Bristol, where engineering students and pre-service teachers who take the ‘Engineering in Society’ module are paired with teachers to bring hands-on science programmes into primary schools.

This project was recently highly commended at the 2018 STEM Inspiration Awards and is being rolled out again this year.

Fancy having science taught to your pupils through engineering? Email Fay Lewis: Fay.Lewis@uwe.ac.uk to get paired with the classes latest intake of students.

See Laura, Fay and Juliet below, having received their commendation at the ceremony in London on 1st November.
