UWE Bristol is working with the Royal Institution to evaluate the Christmas Lectures, which are shown on BBC4 at Christmas time. Started by Michael Faraday in 1825, and now broadcast on TV every year, the Christmas Lectures are billed as the UK’s flagship science series.
In the age of streamed video material, the team are keen to find out how people watch science on TV, and just what creates those ‘water-cooler’ STEM-related shows. If you have ever watched one of the lectures, they want to know what you think of them. And if you have not, they want to know what might tempt you to do so.
